(more) baby knits
A couple of more neutral knits (I confess I'm not partial to pink, anyway) which were really easy and quick to assemble. And with very minimal seaming, which is how I like it best.
Pattern: Snug, by Hinke (free Ravelry pattern)
Yarn: Brancal Manchester (2 skeins)
Needles: 6 mm
Size: 0-6 months
Pattern: Vest, by Debble Bliss (from Essential Baby)
Yarn: Phoebus, by Lopo Xavier (1.1 skeins)
Needles: 3.25 mm
Size: 0-3 months
Changes: the vest was knit on the round till the armholes, but apart from that I followed both patterns as written.
first coat (and booties to match)
It seems that all I have to show you craft wise lately have been baby knits. What can I say ? I've been trying to get as much done as possible before the baby decides to make her appearance (32 weeks and counting ...), and besides, it's quite motivational when I can finish a piece in a couple of weeks instead of months for a change :)
I really wanted to make this coat from Debbie Bliss ever since I saw the pattern, and although I'm very happy with the final result, I have to say that seaming up such a tiny piece was quite an ordeal.
The booties are the popular Saartje's booties, of course, and it seemed the perfect way to use up some of the remaining yarn.

red garter stitch kimono
Pattern : Garter Stitch Baby Kimono, by Joji Locatelli (Ravelry link)
Yarn: Katia Caricia 100% merino (2 skeins)
Needles: 3 mm
Size: 0-3 months
This took forever to knit (garter stitch in 3 mm needles takes a looong time) but the end result is so nice I'm very tempted to make another one ...
Changes: added an i-cord finish along the front and neck
Have a great weekend !
