dispatching orders

quite a few orders posted on the mail today (and a few delivered last week already) ... lucky for me, the people at my post office are the nicest (one of them asked me the other day what was it that I "sold", then pointed to one of my labels and asked: is this your site ? I'm going to check it out) and it's always empty when I go there (humm, maybe the fact that it's usually 8:30 in the morning has something to do with that ...). Anyway, here's what I finished during the last days.

The weekend was bliss, a lot of catching up with friends, not a lot of crafting, although I did start on a couple more blouses using that same pattern (can't get enought of it, maybe I can post some photos tomorrow)

And girls, I'm feeling very house deprived ... not even dr. troy or mr. bauer are making up for it. When is season 2 coming this way ?

black and white

it's a very funny coincidence that both trades I've signed up for June are themed black and white ... so yesterday I went digging for my choice of fabrics, and this is what I came up with

and a snapshot of Sushi to help me get inspired .. have a good weekend :-)

it's finished

my first summer knitting project is finished and blocked, and I'm so in love with it I think I might go for a second round in a different color (dark red maybe .. or olive green ?)
the kal deadline was postponed until the end of the month, so I actually finished it on time. This pattern was great to knit, and the best thing was .. no sewing needed at the end (it's funny how I love sewing fabrics but I hate sewing knitted pieces).

Pattern:
Somewhat cowl, from knit and tonic, and alterations from mimsy
Needles: 3mm and 3.5 mm circular needles
Yarn: cotton blend (Katia ? not sure)

fabric obssessed

is it terribly crazy to be so happy that I've won one of Blair's fabric scraps bags ? at least I'm relieved to find out I'm not the only one so fabric obsessed, one of these days I'll need to sign up for a fabric-holics support group (along with the book-aholics first, though ..). And while we're on that theme, here are a few gorgeous fabrics I got recently, from cotton patch

this weekend was supposed to be a real crafty one, but thanks to dr. house I didn't get much done (meninas, vocês tinham razão ... a série é fantástica ...despachámos 16 episódios no fim de semana ! obrigada pelo empréstimo, A. :). I was really bummed because of these news about one of my favourite tv shows, so I'm glad I found a new one.

I did manage to finish the somewhat cowl, a few orders, and package the softies ready to go to their new homes (this one on the photo is already there), but time is just never enough, is it ?

summer top

it's been a long time since I've made something for myself to wear, and with summer coming soon (and it seems that it's going to be a hot one), I had this urge to make a breezy summer top ... this pattern is adapted from a burda magazine, and it's so easy I'm definitely going to make a few more.

more bookcovers finished here and here
