The comment by Tamar on my last post reminded me I had yet to post about these recent etsy finds ...

news + shopping

I'm finally back home, can you believe that ? I almost stayed for a few more days, since the project go live date was postponed once more, but I have to be somewhere else by the end of this week (this time on pleasure) so I just had to come back. I arrived this morning so I'm still too jet lagged, but just wanted to share these with you. Thankfully I didn't get stopped at customs on my way out, or I might have found difficult to explain why I was carrying 15 pairs of havaianas (only a couple are for me, ok ?) and so many trims and fabrics.







(A few of these are for sale at the shop now, I restocked some that were sold out from last time, and brought home a couple of new items)



Now .. I'm going back to bed.

shopping therapy

S. Paulo doesn't really offer much on sightseeing (actually, almost nothing) so the only thing there is to do is eat (all sorts of restaurants available) and go shopping. And especially if you're into crafts, there's quite a few places to visit. I've mentioned a few before, but the 25 de Março area is always full of surprises so it's worth poking around a bit.
Also, I found more shops that sell origami paper, both in Liberdade: Haikai (in the Sogo Shopping Plaza) and Fonomag (the bookshop I've mentioned here before, that's where I found the Hello Kitty paper)

A few of the things I got for myself and requests from friends (yeah, my bags were bursting, and I'm sure I passed the weight limit too)

* the above adorable kokeshi doll is from Japan Society, where I always go to purchase t-shirts for A. and dad.

Now, I know that I got way too many fabrics and trims, but I thought I'd get some extra yardage to sell on the shop (they're available now). I usually get many e-mails about fabrics, where I buy them and if I sell them, and it's true that here in Portugal we have a limited choice, so I thought it would be nice if anytime I travel and have the chance to bring some extra fabric back home I'd share that on the shop (also, if no one is interested .. well, more fabric for me, right ? I knew this was a good excuse .. and you know I'll use them up .. eventually)

A summary of our shopping spree on Saturday morning ... just thought I'd mention the shops and addresses here in case anyone is going to Barcelona soon and might be interested.

My favorite store has to be this tiny japanese shop, and who can blame me ? As you can see, I had to bring these three beautiful fabrics and sets of scraps. The fabrics are very expensive (15-23 €/m) but you know how obsessed I am with oriental fabrics and these were irresistible.

This antique trim shop is priceless. But I was a good girl and managed to leave with just these cute trims below...

humm... chocolate ... no need to say anything else, right ? Just that if you go there, you must try the raspberry chocolate treat, it's heavenly (see photo below). We haven't sampled the chocolate bars yet, but they look promising: jamaica pepper, ginger and 90% dark chocolate.

I love this store, ever since I first visited one in London ages ago. Their clean design and simple aesthetics really appeal to me, which is weird because I love color so much. What I couldn't resist this time: some notebooks (for A.), origami paper and several pens.
